With increased news of over exploitation of natural non-renewable resources getting extinct or consumed at an alarming rate, it’s the time to realize and work up on your house to ensure that you contribute your part in saving the ecological balance.
A little effort by you can go a long way, so following are a some areas where you get started to build an eco-friendly life:
1) Water.
For lower-end uses like washing car or watering plants, use the rain water you just collected. Buy small tank flushes and buckets, which tend to reduce the water requirements without causing discomfort in any form!
2) Waste.
Recycle your waste as much as you can. You’ll be amazed at how much you can save by reusing stuff that you casually threw away up till now!
3) Recycling Options.
Organic waste like vegetable leaves, paper, and left over food can be used at home itself for treatment in a compost heap. Get old paper and glass recycled and reuse them wherever possible.
5) Energy Options.
Switch off the lights and fans when you’re not using them. Every small step in awareness in this regard can provide enough surplus electricity to light the earth for many years to come. Try to install green sources of electricity like solar heaters, solar cookers etc.
